Ron Wood

A graduate of Brigham Young University, Ron gained over 40+ years of construction management and steel fabrication experience building homes, buildings, and about every other type of structure, successfully completing projects in nearly every industry. He previously owned Uintah Steel which he sold in 2009 before starting Rightway Steel. He retired in 2022.

Zach Murdock

Zach is responsible for all material procurement as well as shipping for fabrication projects. He works closely with suppliers and our field team while managing the logistics of projects from start to finish.

Rob is a very experienced steel pricing estimator, providing pricing on thousands of projects over the span of his career. He is the constant professional, detail oriented, and is very talented at providing breakout pricing and associated descriptions.

I began my career in the steel industry as a welder in a fabrication shop, which helped me build a strong foundation in the trade. After running my own fabrication company for seven years, I now bring that experience to Rightway as a Project Manager, and outside of work I love spending time outdoors with my family, often mountain biking or snowboarding.

Mike Mitchell

I have been detailing for 40 plus years, this past year our detailing office joined the Rightway team. We detail using the latest modeling and BIM software and procedures. We have worked on all size projects from small Tenant Improvements to NFL Stadiums.

Richard is the President of Rightway Steel, and has successfully managed hundreds of projects in the steel industry. He has served two years as the president of the Utah Steel Fabricators Association, and previously held management positions at PwC, AIG, and Ford Motor Company. He holds an MBA degree from the University of Michigan, and undergraduate degrees from the University of Utah.

Justin has nearly 20 years of experience leading miscellaneous steel and construction projects, and is now responsible for coordinating Rightway’s field teams and running many of Rightway's medium sized projects. When not in the office, Justin spends his time in the outdoors and adventure traveling.

I started working in the steel industry at 14, working in my dad’s fabrication shop. I started my own fabrication and erection business at age 24. After the financial crisis of 2008, I went through the police academy and was a police officer for 8 years. After my law enforcement career, I spent four years working as a superintendent building homes in Park City. My goal is to retire here at Rightway.

I’ve worked in various drafting disciplines since the late 1980s, including P&ID work at Hercules Aerospace, where I contributed to a proposal for the Space Shuttle Advanced Solid Rocket Motor, and structural detailing on major projects like The Sphere in Las Vegas and SoFi Stadium in Anaheim. Born and raised mostly in the Salt Lake area, I enjoy traveling with my family and bringing decades of experience to every project I work on.
